She was elected to represent the SWAPO Party of Namibia on the Gobabis Local Authority Election 2010. She then was voted to the position of Mayor during the same period. 

She is by profession a very strong business women, owning and managing her companies Silla Security Services and Silla Funeral Services. Her companies have a big reputation and provide market class services.

Welcome to the Town of Gobabis, the true essence of the eastern part of Namibia. The capital of our abundant Omaheke Region. We have a promising and caring community, when coming here to stay you must be prepared to be amazed by the people. My people have communities full of loving families who welcome visitors warmly. We are a town on the grow with a promising future full of development and investment opportunities for the residents and the outsiders.

Coming here is like entering the bible, the languages spoken in this lovely town are as much as all the 11 national languages of Namibia. All the ethnic groups of our beloved country country resides in and around Gobabis in their original form.

I would like to urge the citizens of Gobabis to represent our town at all times. By that we motivate others to invest and find opportunities here... when opportunities are found they benefit the majority of us in town. High impact development is driven by us citizens of the town even-though its brought by external support.

As leaders, our goal is to continually improve town services, attract new businesses and provide a quality of life to accommodate visitors and the citizens of this community.  We thank our citizens for their support towards the progress of this Town!
