The Health, Parks, Gardens and Cemeteries department has great and demanding responsibilies of dealing with the most physical aspects in the Municipality and the Town of Gobabis at large. Some of these responsibilities includes:

1. HEALTH

Control of food, Meat, Milk, Water, noise/animals/Business Registration.

Approval of Building plans.

2. SEWER

Blockage, Planning and Construction of sewer ponds and/or grounds.

3. SANITATION

Removal of refuse.

Maintenance of refuse yard.

Control hazardous waist.

Control medical waist.

Garden refuse removal.

 

4. CIVIL DEFENCE

Emergency services

Control Civil Defence

Fire brigade coordination
